How's about a little game? I like fountain pens that fly under the radar. I enjoy discovering primarily modern pens with interesting designs and, if possible, interesting filling mechanisms and materials. That doesn't necessarily mean "outrageously priced," however. Hunting down such pens and mentioning them here is one of the main joys fountain pens bring me. I also really like using them.
I plan to buy one (or two) of these pens and write up a review as soon as I get it/them. I'm excited about this particular pen because I think it's gorgeous, and I appreciate a good deal. It will take about a week for this game to play out if no one correctly guesses before I write the review. I may also drop some more hints along the way or even spill the beans early if I can't stand it any longer.
Now, I'm not really one for enabling, but I've just run across a fountain pen that I think will interest a few folks.
Hints: It's from a maker that gets next to no mention in The Nib. I've seen the brand mentioned here once with a photo. This particular model has been discontinued for a few years, is turned from an interesting material (cellulose acetate rods), and now sells for 60% below its original retail price. This pen is still easy to find and there appears to be a decent supply out there. This is a very accessible pen, in my opinion, represents excellent value, and it seems to be highly regarded in online reviews.
With all that said, does anyone care to play "Guess That Pen?"
