Greaves & Sons "Tippecanoe" Straight

Posted for posterity, I traded it for a knife of equal consideration, we were both very happy with the swap. It is certainly one of the more interesting I've come by and an "in the wild" flea market find @ $5. I'm in New England and this is not uncommon. Certainly keeps me going back. This was a big blade, nearly 1" across -

That is neat! I wonder if it was produced to commemorate the battle of Tippecanoe or if it was a Campaign item made during William Henry Harrison's run for the presidency, or if it was to commemorate his death. There really is no telling... That is beautiful!!!

What are your plans for it?

Put some scales on it and go to town!

I traded it away and no longer have it. I am a knife guy and someone had one I could not live without. Fortunately he was a straight razor guy and felt the same. We both knew relative values and they were equivalent so it worked out great for all. Was looking through some old pics and thought it unique enough that some might want to see it.
