I was just going through razor auctions and noticed a seller who received a question asking to end an auction early. The seller clicked the post question and answer to auction for all to see what a great idea. I too will do the same if I ever receive another request to end early or switch over to a buy it now.

That does sound like a good idea, part of my job is to list stuff on eBay the only problem is we usually only do fixed price listings.

let's say you are bidding on a great razor and all of the sudden the auction is ended. You then search the razor and see it was switched to a buy it now and sold. If and when it ever happens to you then you will understand.
From a seller's stand point, additional fees to relist it as a BIN. Then it shows someone is willing to pay the min bid and as an auction it could go for more than the min bid. It just shows the buyer doesn't want to wait until the end of the auction or risk someone else willing to pay more.
