I jumped in the shower this morning knowing that I was going to take my new Cadet for its maiden voyage, so to speak. The Cadet did not disappoint. Loaded with an Astra SP on its 4th (and final) tour of duty, I was able to get the best shave I have had in 2 weeks. The Cadet brought out the best in the Astra, which is saying a lot. DFS+ with no irritation.
I was very pleased with myself.
Then I put on some Nivea "Replenishing" ASB. Ouch. Lots of stinging (not the good kind). Razor burn suddenly appeared on my neck. I have been using this stuff on and off for a month. Coincidentally (or so I thought), I have been experiencing more irritation than usual. I chalked it up to bad technique, overly agrressive razors, etc.
I love Nivea Sensitive ASB and have a mild affection for Nivea Extreme Comfort, but not this stuff. It was painfully effective at "Replenishing" otherwise invisible razor burn. It is in the trash now. YMMV.
