What's new

Great News for Columbus, Ohio!

For as long as I've been into wetshaving, sourcing good stuff locally has been rough. In Columbus we have L'Ocitane, where we can get the Cade line, Crabtree and
Evelyn, Bath and Body Works to get Proraso and the occasional Trumpers, Nordstroms for the seriously over-priced Art of Shaving (marked up past AoS store pricing), and, if your heart so desires, you could go to Columbus Beauty and Barber Supply and get a Marvy brush or some Conk. Kroger has Kiss My Face, to a certain extent, you can scour the antique shops for razors, too, but I assure you I bought everything worth buying.

Now, however, River's Edge Cutlery is carrying wetshaving products. What do they carry, you might ask? Nearly the whole Razorock Artisan and La Famiglia lines, for one. Cella, La Toja, Proraso and Vito's as well. Parker brushes and razors, Merkur razors, and the super knowledgeable and helpful guy working there says they have Simpson's brushes on order.

Finally!

So, if you live in the area, be sure to check it out. I told him to check out bestshave.net, so he should have Arko soon, as well.

I walked out of there $45 poorer, but with Boston Tea Party, Mughetto di Bologna, Zi' Peppino (soap and AS), and a La Toja stick. The slight hike in prices is offset by that lack of shipping expenses.

Have to check that out. I'm in Mansfield, but I go through Columbus every couple weeks. A little crazy now with all the highway construction, but it sounds like it is worth it :)

I've posted about River's Edge a few times before, starting when their original shop was next to the river. It was probably time to mention it again, and they are always happy for the free advertising.
