... vintage port. I opened a half-bottle the other night, and have been taking small ... er, moderate ... er, large-ish drinks from it every evening after work.


Mmmm, nice. Smooth, flavourful, round and robust, with no sign of age withering her or staling her infinite variety.

Atsa nice! The final glass goes down tonight, for sure!!

Don't have that one, but I do have other vintage ports back to '77 (including my favorite of all time, Taylor Fladgate). Their staying power is amazing.

Opened a Dow 1983 on 7/3 that was still good, if a bit tired.

I've found that with older vintage ports, once they've been opened they start oxidizing quickly. I'd say you'd better drink up.
