Got my Pal and some other junk today.

I got my PAL injector today along with some other junk. I used the PAL tonight and have to say this thing was twice as mild as my Feather ASD1 major let down. I was hoping for a straight on a stick BBS shave irritation and bump free. I find myself chasing that super simple easy to get BBS shave again. Back to being spoiled with my beloved 180 for perfect every time shaves. That Bay Rum smells great.

It sounds to me you are holding the Pal Adjustable at a wrong angle when you shave. Try lowering the handle maybe 10 or 20 degrees lower than "the norm." This is because if you look closely at the construction and design of the razor, the recessed blade is at a different angle than is the part of the razor that touches your face.

I have a moderately heavy beard and I find a setting of 3 1/2 on the non-numbered 5 position scale is about right. "L" mean light beard and "H" means heavy beard. Understood and used properly the Pal Adjustable is an outstanding razor. BTW I had the same initial experience and disappointment as you when I first got mine.
