So, are they going to share a new stadium as well? Or will the Giants and J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS each have their own stadium?
Yes, they're sharing the new stadium they built right next to Giants Stadium.
82,500 according to the specs.
Luxury boxes will only be built on one side of the stadium, so there will effectively be fewer of them but more seats for "regular" folks.
Craig Morton opened the old stadium in 1976 by losing the inaugural game to the Dallas Cowboys.
The following season, Morton was the QB of the Denver Broncos as they lost their first ever Super Bowl appearance to that same Cowboy team which featured one of my favorite players of all time, Tony Dorsett.
The Giants repaid the favor in Dallas by defeating them in the home opener in their new stadium at the start of this season.
Sadly my Giants are out of the playoffs for the first time in the Coughlin-Manning Era.
Time to utter the four saddest words in sports; Wait 'til next year.

The new Medaowlands Stadium will feature blue lighting on the exterior aluminum panels when the Giants are home, and green when the Jets are home.
Taking down a perfectly good stadium.
The luxury boxes in the present stadium, we were told on the tour, cost $250,000 a year, plus tickets, plus food and liquor. The suites can be rented only for three year periods, payable in full, in advance.

Saw a Bon Jovi concert in that stadium, seemed small to me.

Constructed in 1976 is worthy of but tearing down? Concerns me as that is the year me house was built.
Sad, we will build new luxury boxes for the present generation of corporate knob gobblers but let some greater number of citizens go hungry .. last I was at "old" giants stadium I think the QB had initials YA

If you invited 50,000 friends over every weekend for beer and fisticuffs, plus have not had a roof on your home since it was built, you should be concerned.
Otherwise, your house will last a LOT longer.
