Nivea sensitive balm
Witch Hazel
Prosaso Balm

You know, I use two that I swear by:

1. NancyBoy Replenishing Facial Moisturizer
2. Trumper's Fragrance-free moisturizer

They work wonders...I use them after my favorite AS balm or Trumper's skin food. Right after shave and rinsing face, I use Witch hazel toner, let it dry a bit and use the above

Your face will be good for it for a whole day.

Any recommendations?

I have a pretty rough hide but I used Nivea's balm for years anyway. It gets the job done. Proraso has already been mentioned--I like it too. l'Occitane's Cade is also very nice.

You should treat yourself to something from SCS. Everything is great, but the rose is tops.

+15 on the Nivea sensitive balm. I use it more than anything else I own. It's scent is pleasant but will not get in the way if you want to wear a cologne with it. Plus if your lucky enough to have a Dollar General nearby, they have it marked 70% off until their stock runs out. It works out to be ~1.65 + tax.:thumbup1:

are you looking for an after shave balm or a true moisturizer?

if you're looking for balm:
1) SCS after shave milks - affordable, light and fantastic
2) proraso ASB - medium weight, quick absorbing
3) the gentlemen's refinery - my favorite ASB. pricey but wonderful

if you're looking for moisturizer:
1) daniel kern - inexpensive, simple and effective (www.danielkern.com)

+1 on the Nivea. You can also use a separate moisturizer afterwards as well. That worked great for me and I have fairly dry skin! The one I use - Vaseline Intensive Care with aloe vera - has a very mild scent that doesn't intrude your aftershave scent.

Almost have the same routine (I have dry skin too)

Alcohol free balm, followed by Vaseline, but the cocoa and shea butters version
