Good liquor store Portland OR

What's your intent on finding a store? Oregon is a state-ran-liquor-sales state, so you won't find anything that you couldn't find elsewhere. Although, some stores have more intriguing inventory than others.

If you are just visiting, instead of directing you to a store, I would reccomend a few spots for some outstanding cocktails. Portland seems to be one of the cities driving the 'art of the cocktail' right now.

Downtown I reccomend that you try 1) Clyde Common, 2) Teardrop Lounge, 820, Ten01. #1 and 2 are fantastic!

Would the state stores have a good selection of the many micro-distillery products that are valiantly popping up all over greater Portland?

Heck, I'd go on a distillery tour crawl (aren't there several in one industrial part of the city? Maybe SE?) and stay at McMenamin's Edgefield hotel/distillery and forget the liquor stores and bars entirely!

Where are you staying downtown? it is my neighborhood :thumbup1:

Clyde Common is an excellent suggestion!

There are a couple of liquor stores in the area and the fella's that are there are generally extremely helpful.

i don't know how their selection is, but the one i frequent is This one.

Im pretty sure if they don't have what you want they'll be able to help you find what it is you're looking for.

I'm staying at the Nines if that helps. Just want cheaper prices on scotch than here in canada. is WA cheaper than OR?

Doubt it, WA also has state-run liquor stores and a sales tax to boot.

You can go to www.liq.wa.gov to check the prices on anything you are interested in, though. They also list locations where that particular Scotch is available.
