Good aftershave splash with not much scent?

Ive never really used an aftershave splash before, i usually just follow my cold water rinse with some witch hazel on a cotton ball and and then an aftershave milk or balm. But its getting really humid in NY and im thinking a splash might be a better choice for the summer. Id like something that is a bit moisturizing and has little or no scent so it wont interfere with my cologne. Any ideas??
Thanks

I live in NY as well and just purchased Speick as my first AS splash. So far I like it a lot. It moisturizes great and the scent doesn't linger too long. If you live in the city you can pick up a bottle at Pasteur's Pharmacy for about $16 bucks. I highly recommend it.

+1 on the Speick. It has a bit of a punch in the bottle, but the scent disappears quickly after use. Possibly the best performing AS I have used, worth a try even if it's not as unscented as you are looking for.

Brut, at least to me, does not have very much scent to it. Smelling it right from the bottle yields some decently strong scent, but I don't think it would overpower a cologne.

Thanks guys it looks like Speick might be the splash to try. Ill have to see if I can find it locally, I live on Long Island qand there arent many places i can think of that would sell Speick but Im only like 15min from the city.

Ive tried witch hazel with various additives(green tea, chamomile, aloe, glycerin) and it works well but I wouldn't say its unscented. Im thinking of maybe trying Thayers unscented w/aloe. Does Thayers still have the the normal witch hazel smell? Are the scents strong or do they wear off in a few minutes??? Another question, how does something like the Spieck splash compare to witch hazel w/aloe when it comes to moisturizing and soothing the skin?? The main reason Id like to try a splash is because its very humid here in NY so even balms/milks that work well for me in the cooler months tend to leave my face sticky and oily in the summer. Sorry i have so many questions, ive only been shaving the "traditional" way with a brush and DE razor for a month or two so im still a newbie even though ive been shaving in one waty or another for probably 15 years. Thanks again for everyones help this forum is great!!

I tend to have oily skin and I only can get away with even the lightest balm in the driest parts of winter. Speick is never a problem for me as far as leaving any sticky or oily feel after application, and I will use it year round.

the CVS version of brut doesn't linger long. if you're shaving and then doing a cologne you might want to see if you can find an aftershave to match the cologne. burberry and ralph lauren both make aftershave splashes.

Witch hazel is excellent by itself or cut some Osage Rub with water to suite your tastes. The menthol takes a few minutes to dissipate but, the fragrance added is barely perceptable and just smells like baby powder. It is very bracing straight up and excellent for the hot months.

Just mix some witch hazel and glycerin in a 10-1 ratio and you have an awesome aftershave splask with no scent at all.

+1. Or do it without glycerine if you've got oily skin. Either way though witch hazel is awesome stuff as far as aftershave is concerned.

I need osage rub so badly now

I prefer aftershave with small scents (and I prefer splashes). My go-tos are Speick, Arlington, Dominica Bay Rum, and TSD Subzero.

Try Booster's June Clover. You can get it at Pastuer's for $10.
It has a soft mild scent thta reminds me of Baby shampoo.

From what I saw Speick has witch hazel and lavender in it. Might try some Thayer's lavender scented witch hazel and see if that works for ya. I've only tried the rose and super medicated but neither of those scents lasts too long on me.

I have used Col Conks Lime. I love the way it feels but for me there is hardly and smell, whatever smell there is it dissapears quickly. Might work well for you...I wish the smell lasted longer.

Gentlemen,

I don't think one can get lighter than a splash of the good old Florida Water. It's also inexpensive. Hey, might as well . . .

Obelit

I use the Thayer's lavender every day, with my face still wet. It works great, and the scent is not strong and does not linger very long at all. I generally use Musgo Real after shave a few minutes after the Thayers and the Thayer's scent is already gone by then. It definitely won't interfere with your cologne.
