Gold Dollar Blank Canvas

Hi guys, thanks to forumites like Slash and Seraphim I took the plunge
and discovered the satisfaction of using G.D. 66's as a starting point
to make something my own.

Being a disabled pensioner means that money is always tight, but these
blades are so cool to work with !! And cheap .
They aren't finished as such, but I'm getting there.
Forgive the crappy pics, I'm still learning....

I look forward to more "stuff" from you guys.

Bongo.

Way to go, Bongo! You have crossed over from the Dark Side to the Extra Super Duper Dark Side!

Nothing wrong with putting them back in their original scales either, if you are just gonna shave with them. And the original ones already come free with the razor.

One nice thing is you can sort of go off in your own direction. Right now I am doing sort of a Spartan, minimalist thing. No jimps or notches or worked spines etc. Some guys like to make "dream razors" with every feature they can think of incorporated into their conversion. Some guys like to get all whimsical in their designs or Klingon-ish or Shao-lin. Some like to end up with a recognizeable Gold Dollar but one that shaves and hones nice.

Let us know when you shave with one!

Nice!

If that razor was stamped "Dovo" Bismark, it would cost you $200 and still not shave you any better than what you have right there.

Bravo!:wink2:
