Glycerin/sandalwood scent soap

I have been trying to find sandalwood scented glycerin shave soap. I like glycerin because I don't get ingrown hairs or razor burn, but I can't find any with sandalwood scent. I hope somebody knows a place that sells it.

Mama Bear's Soaps has several different sandalwood soaps, from plain sandalwood to combinations.

The only caveat for me is that she scents her soaps heavily, and some of them bother my wife or make me sneeze.

Rays of Colorado sells a inexpensive glycerin shaving soap. I bought a 3 pick assortment of sandalwood, bay rum , and raysoldspice. I've only tried the Bay Rum so far, but I'm impressed. Decent lather, good aroma, excellent luberication, all leading to a good shave. The 3 puck sampler was only $11 with free shipping. The pucks weighed something like 2.5 ounces. It's good stuff!

I used the Mama Bears Sandlewood and Vanilla soap this morning. It has excellent scent and performance, unfortunately it made my face tingle so it will be moving on soon.

In my opinion, you should try to buy glycerin separately, and add exactly how much you like to the mix. This way you will not reduce the list of soaps, actually making it possible to buy any soap like this. I tried glycerin myself, but I get the feeling that even if I wash my face after I shave, it remains greasy, which I hate a lot. There is nothing more annoying for me then having my face or my hands greasy.

Wow! You guys are a fountain of information. I think I will try the Mama Bear, the Kells, and the Ray's of Colorado. That should probably help me with a more permanent selection. Qed doesn't seem to have the Sandalwood listed.

Cerbul13; I usually use a talc powder after shaving and rinsing with warm water. I don't feel greasy. Although not a barber myself, I come from a long line of barbers on my dads side. Talc powder is a family tradition.

Hmmm, I washed my face 3 times, with soap, and I still felt like being greasy. Probably I used too much, that is also possible. The truth is that I am almost in a state of not accepting Balm Aftershaves due to the fact that I like my face dry. But I kind of need a moisturizer, especially in the cold season, cause ever since I started to shave with razor blades my beard became coarse again, and is damaging my skin 1.5 days after a shave.

Mama Bear Sandalwood (only, not with Vanilla etc.) is rather mildly scented, but a great shaving product.

qed if you want a melt and pour glycerin, scent is outstanding

the kell's sandalwood is not that close to sandalwood to my nose

I melted together a MB sandlewood/vanilla with one of her unscented. It cut the scent only slightly, but felt better on my face.

I just got a reply to an email I sent to QED.

Charles writes "The price of the sandalwood essential oil I used in my sandalwood shaving soap has skyrocketed. I am looking for a different supplier of the same high quality oil. Impossible to say at this point when the soap will be available, but thanks for asking."

So, if anyone knows where Charles of QED can get reasonably priced high quality sandalwood oil please drop him a line. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Ok, now I have sandalwood soap from Kell's Original and Mama Bear's Soaps. They both smell about the same. Soon I will have soap from Ray's of Colorado. If it has a stronger smell, I will try it first.

I can't believe how close St Charles Shave and Kell's Original are to my house and I never knew about them.
