Glycerin handsoap for shaving ?

Hi !

I bought a pure glycerine-honey handsoap about one month before.
I wash my face with it every night, and it produces very good lather, and makes my skin slick...
Does anybody tried a similar handsoap as a shaving soap ?
If yes with what sort of result ?

I make my own shaving soap using glycerin handsoap. Just add some bentonite clay, a few essential oils, and boom goes the dynamite--shaving soap.

Same here, it's in my rotation. It works great!

Can u use it for shave without the cream?
Actually I put on my face some nivea asb, and after that some olive oil cream...
I'm just interested whats happening, maybe somebody tried it...

In the mantic video there's a tons of lather also before he puts in the cream !

The clay is for more lubrication, my first batch didn't have any and it was fine, but it's better with the clay.

Mine is very similar to Van Der Hagan glycerin with VDH having just a slight edge over it.

I also think that it shouldn't be too hard to create a good soap. For example the Palmolive is very good and this soap has no price. Just imagine how much it costs for the company to produce it when they can sell it on this price...

Be careful of soaps designed for body use. They often do not contain enough moisturizers for shaving. For instance, Instut Karite body soap is around $5 while their shaving soap is $15.
