Just received a '64 Slim and am wondering what setting I should have it on for my first shave. Other razors I use are a '54 Gillette SS and Edwin Jagger DE89. What setting would give me a comparable shave to these razors?

I find that a SS is about 3 and a EJ89 is about 4 on a Slim. This might be a reasonable starting point. Please make sure the blade exposure is even on both sides when you go to town with a new Slim.

For me, anything less than a 7 is a waste of time. I'd maybe start at a 6 to get a feel for it and decide from there.
Mike's hardcore! I'm good with a 4 or a 5. That's kinda middle of the road in aggressiveness.
6 is ideal for my needs. Rarely 7, and even more rarely below 6.
5 for me also depends what blade you are using...
I started at 5 and made adjustments as needed. That's the beauty of adjustables. And to think they still work great 50 years later!
