Gillette Rocket HD question?

I recently acquired what I believed was a Gillette Rocket HD. I was hoping that this was going to be a go to razor since I like heavier razors like my Fatboy and the Rocket HD is apparently 71g except the British rocket HD version that I acquired is only 57g. Even a regular rocket weighs 62g so this can't really be called a Rocket HD. Can anyone shed light on this razor? It has patent pending inside and says made in England. If its not a rocket HD, anyone know what it is?

It could be the aluminium handled HD, as that is lighter than a HD, but not as light as the LD.

Its not a Parat as they have the 40's style handle.

+1, the head is nickel while the handle is aluminum, enjoy!

The handle definitely looks and feels Aluminium. I have a Rocket LD and it feels nothing like that although this razor has a thicker handle. I am kind of torn here because its not the meaty 71g Rocket HD that I was expecting. Anyone know if this version of a rocket HD is rare or just uncommon?

Yeah, I'd say a Rocket HD aluminum handle. I have one as well and it looks just like that. It's one of my favorite shavers. Very smooth.

The heavier ones may shave more aggressive due to its weight.

i have one of these, i believe the right name for it is a rocket md, the rocket ld is all aluminium bar the doors, the more common rocket hd is the heavy one, to be honest the md and hd feel much the same, its hard to tell what ones what at times, the ld is very light compared to the other two.
