Had my first shave with a gillette new loaded with a derby blade this morning. I wasn't liking it until I realized the blade angle for the new was much different than the SS I've been using, once I got the blade angle right, I got a DFS and was quite impressed. I especially liked the open comb design, I'm sure this razor will find a spot in my rotation, maybe even reach the status of my "go to" razor.

I use a new with a derby once or twice a week....great shave.
My goto combo is the Bull Mastiff with an English NEW head loaded with an Iridium. This setup gives me a BBS just about every time with no problems.
Shaved with a NEW in really nice shape today. It was a fantastic shave.

My favorite DE of all time is the gilette NEW, good stuff there.
I like to use my new on a monday if I have sinned and let the garden grow over the weekend.
