Check the shaving mall here.They frequently appear but disappear in a real hurry too!
Don't write off eBay completely, if you're patient and willing to wait for the right deal eventually you'll get something good. I bought a Slim in good condition last week for $13, after bidding on probably 30 others that all ended up in the $20+ range. Just set your max price and bid on everything in sight, eventually one will slip under the radar.
That thing looks pretty nasty.

Check your local antique shop/mall. It's much easier to gauge the condition of a razor you can actually handle. Be patient and don't give more than you should. The prices on Fatboys have gone kinda crazy, especially in the last few weeks. They are great shavers, but the hype is getting out of control, I think. Maybe it's just the name?

+1 on the Slim. I have a few and it's my only razor in my dopp kit.
They come up on the BST all the time and ebay for a reasonable price.

No quality guidelines were set but yes looks like it needs a good polish, should shave ok as long as it's straight. $20 for a user grade fatboy is about as good as it's going to get I think.
Go find a Fatboy in the wild. It'll be more fun that way. They made a bunch o them and they turn up in junk stores often enough still.
Skip the big city antique stores. Everything either goes fast or is overpriced. Instead, drive a few hours into rural areas and haunt the junk stores. You might end up with a Fatboy and a box of other razors on the cheap. I haven't scoured the outlying areas since I lived in Oregon, but the out-of-the-way places had plenty of razors for $5-$10 each.
