FS Gillette British Hybrid Tech razor

Selling my prized Gillette Hybrid Tech. It has been replated with mirror nickel finish by Back Roads Gold since the original finish was well worn when I acquired it. After receiving it back from BRG I added a nylon washer to protect the bottom plate from getting scuffed up. I have shaved with it twice since then, being careful to thoroughly clean and place back in storage pouch afterwards.

There is no case with the razor but it includes a spare top cap that has also been replated mirror nickel.

YOU could do anything...it's yours. I'd rather have it 100% brassed than replated...then again, I don't care for anything replated. That's just me.

You made a great choice, so don't be sad about that in any way

Many people in the shaving community aren't aware, but Gillette also sold the 'Hybrid'-TECH model with a nickel plating and in a bakelite case(see attached pictures) as a cheaper configuration at some point although no one knows for how long.

So any potential buyers shouldn't be concerned about the nickel plating in terms of being original. Your razor is ready for another 50+ years of shaving

Thank you for that clarification @Dyllern. I was not aware that Gillette made a nickel-plated version of this razor. I thought they were only Rhodium-plated that came in a zippered leather pouch. (referring to mr-razor.com website)

If you look at the picture @wheatshocker posted you will see that the Hybrid Tech has the raised flat bottom of the open comb New and the Safety Bar from the Tech. Which is where the term Hybrid comes from. But of course Gillette never called it a Hybrid Tech.
