What's new

Gillette Adjustable's - were all made in USA.

Was wondering, from what I can see all adjustables were made in USA. Can someone confirm this is the case? Gillette appears to have had factories in several other places, most notably in England, so thought I'd put it out there to discuss.

Gillette adjustables were made in the good ole' U.S. of A. However, there were some adjustables that were packaged differently for their respective country. I think McDaddy, Alex or one of the Guru's can fill you in on those models.

Gillette distrubuted razors over the world, they had plants in Montreal,Canada, England, France . Gillette opened offices in many parts of Europe, in South America, Asia, Australia, South Africa.

Every Gillette adjustable razor I have ever seen has been marked MADE IN U.S.A. Some markets like England and Germany may have used different cases or some element of the set may have reflected that local market. Although there might be one South American exception.????

I've never seen a Fatboy, Slim, or Super that was made anywhere but the U.S. As folks have mentioned, various markets packaged them differently (a few examples below), but the razors themselves I've only ever seen as U.S.-made.

Gillette distributed them abroad. That is what i stated, they went through any extreme to get them there too....Porter, by the way i am reading King Gillette book, "The man and his wonderful shaving device" What a great insight on Gillette this book has.

Yes, of course they did. But Xeno_basso started this thread asking whether they were made in any of the other plants outside the U.S.

OH, I was too vague again, i should stated that they made many models and including the adjustable here and then distributed them around the world as needed. I know you answred this question not too long ago and your answer was the same as this one.

I "thought" I recalled seeing a Gillette adjustable that was made south of the boarder but I have not been able to find a trace of it.

So I would like to retract that statement.....:confused1

It may seem that way, but the consensus is that they were made here and distributed around the world including south of the border or boarder as you call it:wink2:

Appreciate your replies. MacDaddy, love those sets, especially the first photo. Have not seen one of those yet but I have only been looking for 3 months.
