With such a difference in price in consideration, which one would you prefer and why?

I have both and each has its strong points. I feel the trumpers is a little fresher (less Patchouli) so I give the Trumpers the nod.

How do they compare in silliage and longevity.
I think the sillage is on the low side for both (at least on me), and the Pen's has better longevity.
I prefer the Trumper when all's said and done, though. One of my absolute favorites. It always puts me in a good mood. At least for a while.
It's a fairly fine point but I would give the Penhaligon's the nod for longevity and a tie for silage.
Penhaligon's does last a tad longer, it's a bit more complex and just a hair sweeter, which makes it less monotonous over time (the differences are very slim though). The price dif is crazy, which is why a 100ml bottle of Trumper's WF is on my shelf right next to a decant of Pen's EF

Where did you find a 100ml bottle of GFT Wild Fern?

I prefer Pen's English Fern. I just think it's a more complex fragrance than Trumper Wild Fern, and I prefer the dry-down. Neither has great longevity on me, but the Pen's lasts the longest. The last bottle of WF I bought seemed more like after shave strength.
