GFT splashes - any good?

I am wondering if the GFT splashes Astor, Curzon, Marlborough, Wellington are any good. I don't see them mentioned in the forums.

TESC has a special on them and free shipping, but I'm not sure they are worth the trouble. And I'm not sure which one of the 4 scents they offer I would like best, many times the descriptions don't come close to what I imagine.

Some specific questions:

Are they high in alcohol content?

Do they have any skin goodies or are they just scented alcohol?

Ingredients of the Extract of Limes AS:

Ethanol B, Aqua (demineralised water), Parfum (fragrance), Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool

Looks like scented alcohol to me.

They are traditional slap and stingers, but I like them from time to time. Eau de Portugal is nice. I think DR Harris splashes are very similar and a little cheaper.

The Harris splashes have glycerine or some other moisturizer in them so in that regards they one-up the Trumpers. But the Trumper folks offer a lot of scent variety including one of my faves - Wild Fern.

I like Trumpers personally so what I've done is purchased a 2.00 bottle of glycerin at the local pharmacy and I add a couple drops to my AS and I get that moisturizing that I like.

thirdeye has a great idea. because, for this amount of money a guy is not getting much comparatively for skincare. Nothing really to seal, nothing to moisturize, but a lot of curing.

Burns like a mutha. After a week of use your skin will be dry. Maybe even a problem.

Smells great though. Classic stuff.

My personal tastes take me to Harris for the slap and burn thing.

Based on what I read so far, I will stay away from them. I like splashes low in alcohol, with some extra stuff in them.

I was pretty unhappy with Trumpers Aftershave splashes.

The scents were nice, but nothing more than an expensive frag and alcohol splash

I tried their Coral skin food today, I have a sample. While I like the performance, I can't say I'm a rose scent fan. I know they have it in lime and sandalwood too, but neither scent attracts me. Now, I wouldn't mind an unscented one, followed by a good cologne.

The Lime scent is reportedly fleeting, and may as wellbe unscented.

My skin may have a problem with the Lime EO's though which is OK because it's not a scent I like anyway. But I do like citrus scents that smell like natural lemon, oranges or bergamot, just not lime.
