Getting to know the Ehsan

Just wanted to let everyone know that after receiving my Ehsan from Bullgoose, and following Ambrose's advice on breaking in a brush, I am on the road to friendship with my first Simpson. Although my decal is wrinkled, I was immediately impressed by the heavy, solid feel of the brush. Without a doubt, my SR3122 is wonderfully made piece as well; however, the Simpson just "feels" different. I wanted something different from my SR and I got it. I love both brushes and am intrigued by each's individual qualities. Although many characterize the Ehsan as a great "soap" brush, I would like to say that it performs equally well with creams. This morning my Ehsan GFT rose soap/slim with super iridium followed by a splash of floid blue from a decant shave was truly an awesome experience.:thumbup1:

Glad you like the Eshan, I love my Simpsons chubby 1. I have also found that although the simpsons is a "soap" brush creams don't bother it unduly either. If you don't mind me asking what are the Eshan's specs knot size loft hair grade etc...

Regards Grant

I have both Grant...the Ehsan IS a lovely brush but the knot is'nt as thick as the Chubby 1...I got the chubby after the Ehsan and probably would not have got the Ehsan if the Chubby and I had met earlier...

Cheers mate I guess I probably won't look much further into the Eshan as I really enjoy the density of the chubby.
