German Pitralon....!

Okay, I just got it so I haven't used it, but I've got so say that the scent knocked me over! Wonderfully deep, soapy, masculine aroma with green woody notes. And it sticks around. I'm very impressed!

German Pitralon is one of my favourite aftershaves (in fact my favourite aftershave along with Speick). It's very good on your skin and the scent... ahh the scent... :w00t:
It's perfect. Impossible to beat Pitralon.

I looked at Superlather, but while they have Swiss and Austrian Pitralon, they don't have German. Assuming this is a thrid kind, where'd you get it?

Congrats! I suspect that, unless you are allergic to any of the ingredients, it will soon become a favorite. Just the healing properties alone warrant it tops in the rotation.

Used it for the first time tonight. It feels unique -- doesn't burn so much as it tingles and the menthol, while not quite as present as Italian Floid, is still noticeable. My skin feels great afterwards.

Received a bottle of this today and all i can say is "where have you been all my life!!" this smells fantastic ,woody, herby, piney, fresh, even my teenage boys were asking what it was, haven't used it after a shave yet, i have that to look forward to in the morning,

What about it makes it healing? I read the description and it sounds good, but the ingredients don't even list glycerin in there...

It seems there is quite a lot of confusion about the versions of Pitralon. AFAIK, there is the Swiss version, and three variations of the Austrian version....all of which have German wording on their bottles. I purchased a bottle of the Swiss off B/S/T early last summer and use it regularly, great stuff! Recently, I had an order from Superlather and got decants of the Austrian version, both regular and polar. I find the scents to be much different than the Swiss, with perhaps a higher alcohol content.

The downside is, now I'm going to have to have a bottle of at least the polar variety....its that good!

Do you guys pick up the "gasoline" element to it? For some reason that is what I pick up. Camphor maybe? That is what was holding me back from using it regularly.

I don't get that at all, from any of the three versions I've tried. The bottle I have (Swiss) has no ingredient list, just a line or two in German below the logo. I'd be hard-pressed to describe the scent, except in ambiguoous terms like "fresh" and "clean".

This stuff seems hard to find. Other than Superlather, the only other vendor I've seen offer any version is Shoebox.....and they only have the Swiss version (and it is out-of-stock).

I got the German/classic from ......... shaving, very nice.

Can anyone describe the scent of the Austrian pitralon that superlather sells? I've asked others but usually they think I mean the German (green bottle.)
