Geo F Trumpers aftershave?

It depends upon what you're looking for. In my opinion, the various GFT aftershaves have only scent to recommend them, since they contain little more than alcohol and fragrance. The same holds true for the other two of the "three T's". Floris, on the other hand, packs some great ingredients into their aftershave splashes, including witch hazel and glycerin. But they are now asking $100 for a 100ml bottle, which reaches into the realm of the stratospherically absurd. I continue to wonder why a great shaving company such as Trumper's can't put together a decent aftershave splash along the efficacy lines of Speick. Oh, I suppose the DR Harris splashes are a bit better than the three T's.

Looking at ordering a bottle of Geo F Trumpers aftershave. Is this aftershave worth the money?

To some, most definitely. You may have to decide for yourself. Which after shaves have you been using and what are you looking when you try Trumper's?

I would be very tempted to grab a bottle of Speick or Pinaud (or insert affordable AS of your choice here) and then go with the Trumper's Cologne in your chosen scent. This will give you the best of both worlds- an after shave product which does treat your skin properly after your shave and a cologne which will stick around for most of the day rather than trying to combine the two into one product.

To me the Trumper aftershaves, are as mentioned previously, just basically alcohol and fragrance. I eventually sold mine off, but when I did use them I often combined them with the 444 balm to make them more skin-friendly. I do love some of Trumper scents and currently have the colognes in Spanish Leather and Marlborough. If you like the colognes, the aftershaves are an excellent match to the scents.

I found Trumpers very accomodating in sending samples and was impressed by this. I got their Sandalwood cologne and think it is fantastic value (big bottle) for a scent that lingers and smells great.

Just a warning:

I would advise against getting a bottle of Trumper Lime Aftershave or Cologne as the scent does not last long (MINUTES).

Taylor No. 74 Victorian Lime lasts much longer (HOURS).

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Mike
