Geo F. Trumper Violet Shaving Cream

I am using TOBS Avocado right now and have a tube of Proraso that I occasionally use. They are the only two I have ever tried. I have heard good things about Geo F. Trumper Violet Shaving Cream and am thinking of trying it, although it is twice the price.

How does it compare to the TOBS Avacodo for those that have tried both?

I am also considering Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Shaving Cream.

Thoughts based on your experience? The two I have now seem to work well for me, but I want to expand the possibilities so I can change up once in a while. My neck seems to be really sensitive.

Go with the Sampler pack. I love Trumpers products and think they are worth the price, but I am not a huge fan of the Violet. I used my Violet sample last night for the first time and while it is a nice cream the scent is not for me.

It's a somewhat unique scent but I ultimately got a little tired of it and don't plan on on purchasing anymore in the future.

Trumper's Violet is my favourite cream. Slick, protective and doesn't irritate. I'd recommend but, as always, ymmv.

Among all the creams you listed here, my preference is for Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort.
T&H UC is one of the slickest, richest and most moisturizing shaving creams on the market.
No doubt.
Regarding Trumpers Violet, I think that it is a very good shaving cream, with a unique, fantastic scent.
Essentially it performs as well as Trumpers Rose.
Or, in other words, it's a winner.

Trumper creams are among the very best on the market, and all perform equally well. The differences between them have primarily to do with scent and coloring, since they all have the same basic formula. I like the scent of the Violet, but its uniqueness means it won't be in the universally likeable category; it's kind of a love it or hate it sort of thing. It is also very heavily colored.

T&H Ultimate Comfort is a unique cream, made slightly differently from the "classic" T&H creams, with a higher proportion of glycerin and with a more highly whipped texture. It is lightly scented with lavender essential oil and has no coloring. It is also excellent, and does have a high degree of slickness and cushion. In aesthetic terms, it strikes me as being diametrically opposite the Trumper Violet, insofar as it will appeal to those who don't want heavy scents or coloring.

This would be my recommendation.

That said, I like the Violets cream.

Another fan here. Get it or rose.

I really don't like Taylors Avocado! Not a fan of the smell.
T&H UC is another great cream.

I can't get the Violet to give me nice lather.
any other Trumpers I adore. But the Violet gives me weak, watery lather.
maybe I have a bad batch?
I've tried it a bunch of times with different amounts of water, &c.

Also, I forgot to mention Lee's Razors sells Trumper creams as well. (Slightly but not completely O/T, I just used Trumper Coconut cream this morning, and I'm reminded why it is one of my top favorite creams, and my single favorite Trumper cream. It's great stuff.)

No, only from the U.S. site. Given the current exchange rate, the standard UK prices are actually better than the discounted U.S. prices anyway, so even without a discount, you're getting a better deal than we are.
