Gentleman's Best Shave Soap

I recently did some business with Ray's (member and Mod thirdeye) Shave Shop in Connecticut, Gentleman's Best.
He kindly threw in a sample puck of his own "Signature Series" Shave Soap...Well, today I finally took it for a test drive, and I must say, it was a truly luxurious experience. Great scent and great lather... enough for however many passes one would care to make!

I think I've fouind a new "keeper..." Thanks, Ray...

I can see I'm going to have to break down and buy some of this soap!! Too many sparkling reviews on here not to. A question though. Is it cold-pressed?? Doesn't appear to be melt-and-pour...

Can anyone clarify?

But, I might just dive into it...

You really should, SOTD isn't about creating professional pictures but sharing the equipment used. I'm enjoying all pictures and it doesn't matter if they are taken with a state-of-the-art DSLR or a mobile phone.

I just picked the Ivy Club Spice and was itchin' to try it! I might have refined taste in soaps, but I just LOVE cheap After Shaves... Makes it seem like I walkin' of the seamier side of life, with a hooker on every corner..

Not to be dissing the Club at all, just The Gentlemen's Best Signature Series AS and EdT deserved that recognition along side their sibling.

Saint Charles Shave was the company responsible for manufacturing this soap. I do believe that their "Refined" soap (and EdT!) fragrance is in fact what was formerly Gentlemens Best. It's a blend of cedar, oakmoss & orange and it's very nice indeed.
