Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf...fantastic!

WOW! I had previously shaved with a Gem Micromatic standard version (not the open comb style) and sliced my chops in many places. So I bought a couple of the “Clog Pruf” versions off that big auction site for next to nothing.

Fearing the worst, I really prepped and then focused on technique, moving slowly, applying no pressure, and ….

AWESOME SHAVE! Not sure what the difference is; if anyone knows if this one is truly more mild, please let me know.

So if you’ve had a hard time with the regular Micromatic, you might want to get your paws on a Clog Pruf. Sure was mighty good to me!!

Would love to hear the impressions of others, esp. those who have used both.

Next on my Gem list: the famed 1912…have very high expectations based on all you guys’ comments.

That's great. I used a Clog Pruf for the first time last week and thought it was great as well. If you like the Clog Pruf you will love the 1912. I have used the Micromatic open comb and found it to be pretty aggressive. No cuts or irritation though. Just cut down the angle slightly to compensate.
