I'm flying into Ft. Lauderdale Florida next Monday for about 12 hours. Any good places that can be recommended for supplies. Or maybe just some places to check out while I'm waiting for my next flight? I really don't want to sit in the airport for 12 hours, I'd like to get out and feel human for a few hours.

Or head down to South Beach and go to Joe's Stone Crab. They have a carry out and you can get medium claws in the $20s.

There's also sawgrass outlet mall. But last time I went there I didn't really see any great deals.

Santa Maria Novella boutique at Bal Harbour... I gotta say I'm becoming a fan of the AS splash.
Las Olas would be a good time... Not sure how the scene is on a Monday night eventhough I live 200 yards off the street.

You could see both Ft. Lauderdale Beach and South Beach in 12 hours. When I picked up my nephew at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale at the end of October, we shot out to Las Olas for a beer and some food, then drove down to South Beach. I got my AOS Lemon cream at the Sephora in Miami Beach that evening. Took maybe seven hours at most to do that, then headed back to the west coast of FL. If you do make it down to South Beach, you have to check out Joe's Stone Crab. I'd skip the malls.

I would rent a car and go. Also check out Primanti Bros, they have a few around Ft. Lauderdale area.
Order up the "Second Mortgage" appetizer... then call in your card stolen promptly after leaving!
If you go to their carryout and order the medium stone crabs, which is around $25 and a coke, that should do it. They renovated the carryout, it has more tables and chairs so you can sit and eat comfortably. They are known for stone crabs, so don't get anything else. You dont need to go and eat in the restraunt.
