What's new

From 2 newbs to 2 newbs!

View attachment 132251

Here it is, the PIF we have been waiting to post! Brought to you by myself and my brother, mr. s. With all the generosity, support and guidance we have received from everyone here on B&B we KNOW it is necessary to pay it forward ourselves. As university students the assistance has been invaluable!

For your consideration, 2 separate PIFS for 2 lucky newbs! I will explain the Canadian PIF and mr. s will explain the international PIF in the next post.

The basic entrance requirements:

1. You must have at least one post prior to this PIF starting, and ten by the end
2. You must have joined no earlier than July of this year
3. Any contributor may enter regardless of post count or membership length

Now for the Oh Canada PIF, open to Canadian B&Bers only. Sometimes as Canadians we feel we are getting the shaft with higher shipping prices, limited availability of products, and sometimes an absolute refusal to ship to the Great White North. Well, fear not fellow Canucks, this PIF is for you!

If you are eligible to enter, post "Oh Canada" and THEN a reason why Canada is great! Put some thought into it, as the best 2 answers, as judged by myself and my brother will get 3 entrances into the random draw.

This PIF will run for 2 weeks and a lucky winner will be chosen on Sunday Nov. 28th (or sometime there about).

Now for the booty!

Good luck, eh!

For the second part of this PIF we have it open to ALL MEMBERS WORLDWIDE. (All those entered for the Oh Canada PIF will be automatically entered in the Worldwide PIF)

This is called The California Cajun Tribute.
The rules:
1. Must have at least 1 post before this PIF starting, and 10 posts by the end of the PIF.
(We love to post here at B&B and love it when others do too).
2. Been a member no earlier than July of this year.
3. All contributors can enter regardless of post count or date joined.
4. Commit to yourself…..

This one is thanks to California Cajun. He's an outstanding man who has inspired us both to do good to others. He is proof that small acts of kindness can inspire people. We both have felt to PIF back to B&B and also to people around us in our everyday lives.

Type "I will pay it forward" at the top of your post and spread the goodness.

So, IN ORDER TO ENTER this PIF we want you to commit to yourself that you WILL go out and do something good for a stranger. Pay it forward in life. Be willing to stop on the side of the road and ask if someone needs car help, carry an elderly woman's groceries to her car, or ANYTHING to give to a stranger for no reason at all.
We don't need to know the stories but we hope that it is something you will remember, because the person you do it for certainly will.

Oh Canada!
I'm loving this!

I'd have to say the greatest part about Canada is the people, oh and Timmy's

I should also add, the CPU(powerlifting federation I lift in) has to be the friendliest, most helpful group of lifters I have ever met.

I wanna be sedated!
I am actually trying to do that right now a newbie in safety razors had some questions on a tech vs a new. It was his first post. I offered to PIF him a tech if he promised to stay with the forum. So far no response.

Nice going fellas. :thumbup1: Joel and LetterK helped me immeasurably, and I tried to thank them by working with other members. It's nice to see the efforts of my mentors taken to still another level. Undoubtedly this is how this forum grew to what it has become in just five years.

Oh Canada!

Canada is great for many reasons... maple syrup, back bacon, Timbits, CFL football, medicare, opportunities as vast as our country is wide... but mostly because of our friendly, helpful, tolerant, and diverse people! :thumbup1:

This is refreshing to see. I frequent various non-shaving related forums and "older" members seem to get annoyed by newbies. Here at B&B, everyone is always more than happy to help.

Oh Canada!

There are a lot of reasons I think Canada is great, a bunch have already been mentioned, maple syrup, hockey, knowing that back bacon is not just ham just to name a few. Canadians though are the real reason this is a great country. Historical figures such as Dr. John McCrae, Dr's Banting and Best, Terry Fox, and Alexander G. Bell. Even though we are young country I am very proud to call Canada my home!

Oh Canada!

Ketchup and dill pickle chips, wine gums, beer that tastes like beer, being almost close enough to see Russia if Sarah's house wasn't in the way, toques, tabernac, Jean Cretien, Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo Jump, Cirque Du Soleil, hockey, much music, the Tragically Hip, GST, the Canadarm, Pamela Anderson, Alex Trebec, this list goes on and on and on
