That's actually some kind of comic book that was published in 1910. I got something like 30 pictures of that set on my HD, pretty fun to look at!
"French Postcard"! I was kinda hoping for....well, never mind. Did anyone else notice the "En l'an 2000" (In the year 2000) in the upper right corner? I guess the fully automated shave parlor is like the flying car we were all supposed to have by now; just didn't work out quite that way. 1910 was a very good year for dreaming but - two more years and the technological marvel of the ages, the Titanic, will be on the bottom of the ocean without completing her first voyage - four more years and Europe will erupt with a maelstrom of technological death known as The Great War. Ah, dream - dream on!

I prefer the "real" French Postcards. 
Actually, there is a device similar to this "futuristic" postcard. At the hospital I work at we use a Da Vinchi Robot to operate on patients. If you can perform surgery on one, it might be able to shave you too.
