Frank Shaving 26mm/52mm loft Extra Dense Silvertip Brush- extra boar thrown in.

Today I received several goodies in the mail. First my order off the Bay for this Frank Shaving 26mm/52mm loft Extra Dense Silvertip Brush. This thing is huge!! It has a nice weight to it. I haven't test lathered it yet. They threw in the small brush which appears to be boar. It seems to be about 20-21mm and maybe 55mm or so on loft. They also threw in the cleaning cloth and a styptic pencil. Not a bad deal for the $49 I paid for it. I just hope it performs well. Here's the pic:

Great pickup for the price. I've heard some good stuff about FS brushes. Some say they rank around the same level as Lijun or better. I hope it performs well.

A couple test lathers with both my new brushes. The Muhle synthetic is unbelievably soft, yet still not floppy and has backbone. I really am going to like this brush. There is no breaking it in. It's not real hair :001_smile the FS brush is a nice big brush and may need a bit of breaking in test lathers, but I think will perform nicely for a large brush. Here's the pics with some Erasmic that I broke the top off of as I rearranged the shave den while trying to get better organized.

2 is still wet post bloom

Got three FS brushes, The synth one is great but my faux horn tubby Finest is brilliant. YOurs looks great by the way.

What other brands have badger grades of hair that are similar to the Finest grade of FS?
I have a very small FS brush (this one) and quite like it - a dense brush with tips that are super soft!

FS brushes used to be crazy cheap. Now you can get a nice big silvertip from Larry for way less. Lijun beats FS prices for the same size and grade of brush. Still FS brushes are not a bad price, but not as good as it used to be.
