No, more slightly sweet mango early, with an underlying airy grassy vetiver and slightly powdery oskmoss bent. Honestly it is pleasant smelling, but far from great. I wear it once a year or so, but it was a blind buy I could have easily passed on.

I used a few AdP flankers during the winter but haven't used original Colonia since last autumn. When the first full sprays hit me this morning the fresh citrus almost made me swoon. This is an incredible fragrance. Such quality. I never spray it without whispering a prayer of gratitude for @Marco, who encouraged me to try it years ago.

[The Knize]

I am back to wearing Hermes Eau D'orange Vert. The regular not the concentre. Very green and very orange, along with a host of other notes according to various write ups including lots of oak moss. To me it has some black pepper, but that note is not listed. The notes list mint, too, but I do not really pick up much mint. Nothing like C&S O&C or Brooks Bros. Country Club. It seems to be marketed as a spring/summer frag, but to me it works in any season.
