Thought I'd ask me clubhouse members who are 'Merican...any fond memories of 4th celebrations with your kin?
I will always remember the Fourth of July 1982. I was out in the back of the house with my entire family shooting bottle rockets out of our garage. We must have launched 200+ rockets....much beer was consumed by senior members of the Scuba clan (not me at the time).
Maybe 50 or so rockets of the 200 landed on the roof of a community building in Munster Park Indiana. A policeman pulled up to make sure all was copacetic. He saw the whole family (including grandpa and grandma) drinking beer and having good, safe Fourth of July fun...all he asked was: "anyone have some bottle rockets for me?"
A memory of this time of year that will stick forever...
