Fountain Pen Network Philippines

My wife is home doing some house repairs and taking care of paperwork on our retirement home in Manila Philippines.
The painters had covered the floor with newspaper to protect from paint drips and she happened to notice an article in a recent copy of the Star.

It was titled Pen boys weekend, and talked about several Philippine based fellows who repair and work on fountain pens for the love of it.

Electronic copy here;

Just curious, as we have a lot of pen savvy folks here, if anyone knows any of these guys

Butch Dalisay
Butch Palma
Chito Limson
JP Reinoso
Albert Muyot
Jonathan Isip
Cesar Salazar

Moreover, I'm curious if these guys might possibly be members here or at FPN.

At least I know that when I do retire and move back to Manila, I have some folks I can look up who share an interest.

Phil, never heard of that gang, they do sound interesting and enthusiastic.

In the picture they were clean shaven, so they're using something. Fish in a barrel for Phil LOL. Wonder if these guys like :Veg: ?

I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to make the Phil, Philippines B&B get together. Never been there before. :a50:

There's going to be one of those right? :letterk1:

Butch is a member at FPn, but I don't know how often he posts these days. My understanding is that the group is very active with regular meeting for 'pancit and pens'.

How come the Philippines Phil ? My Aunt is Philippian and I know nothing of the place other then when she used to take me to her mums home they used to feed me with the most awesome food till I went into a coma

Several reasons really, my wife is Filipina and her family is there, the cost of living is extremely reasonable and my retired dollars will go much further, the Philippines is one of the most friendly and inviting places you could ever visit, and the weather and beaches are to die for.
