Found A Real GEM Of A Deal (at Least I Hope)

While I tend to play more over on the double edge side of the field I found this lil darling at a local antique mall for 28.00 USD.
Since the 2 blades are gone I'm pretty safe in assuming it's not NOS but very, very minty fresh so I don't have the conflict of do I use it or not but my knowledge of SE amounts to jack, diddly and squat so I was wondering if anyone can give me the inside skinny on just what I got here.
The depression era NRA stamp gives me a rough time frame of the 1930's but that's about all I can guess as to age.

It's the right box for it, because that is indeed a micromatic. It's the first model, which has an open comb. I believe it's pretty early in its run too, since it has the shorter slide underneath the head. They are regarded as one of the most aggressive of the Gem lineup.

As above they are more aggresive than the later micromatics, but just be carefull with the pressure and everything will fall into place as they are nice shavers.

Thanks guys.
I pretty much figure I can handle SE since I dabble with a straight razor from time to time to mix up the ol shave routine.
Any ideas on just how old this one is?

Cool grab, give a review once you test drive the razor.

Got the chance to put her through her paces ,fantastic BBS shave.
Have to say about the only problem I had was with the first few strokes I kept wanting to flip to the "other" edge.
