Forum Lesson Learned

It pays to read the OP's post carefully. I find the biggest guffaws I make here is when I respond to a post having not read it thoroughly.

It's not a huge deal by any means but today I was responding to a post about polishing a straight razor. I missed the OP's whole point and my answer was just ridiculously off target.

Gave me a good chuckle when I saw it.

I bet bet your scissors and clippers would polish up real nice too

You see the thing about polishing your straight edge is that you have to be really careful to not cut yourself, hope this helps!

Tony, try using a bit more product, and be sure to use no pressure when pulling the razor across your face. Also, a hot, wet towel on the face for a few minutes before lathering will really soften up the whiskers.

I've learned that making sure the water to product balance is just right every time is paramount. There are so many lessons that I've picked up from so many people on this forum. I just don't know why this kind of thread would be posted in the Barber Shop. You might want to check out the FAQ and usage of forums and sub-forums.

Bacon! Wait, no, pancakes!
