Foil Wrappers on Shave Sticks

I find that the foil wrappers on most shave sticks tend to discolor with use, so I have been removing them entirely from all of my shave sticks except for the Valobra stick.

Does anyone else remove the foil wrappers entirely from shave sticks?

Sir -- are you suggesting allowing one's shave sticks to traipse around in the nude?

Preposterous. I won't stand for it. :tongue_sm

I prefer to peel off the foil as needed. That way when the stick is long and I want to choke up on it, my fingers are on the foil. I think the foil also helps preserve the scent.

But I have not noticed any discoloration. What does it look like?

No issues with discoloration here. I only wet the uncovered part of the shave stick. It's better to hold the shave stick to have a wrapper around it IMO.

Yup, straight off. I feel as though I should keep it wrapped up to preserve it but its been fine so far

I noticed the Palmolive Shave Stick has a pattern embossed into the foil that makes it almost "graduated" therefore making it easy to tear it off in a straight line. I tore off about an inch.

I take my shave sticks and cut them into small pieces then grind them in a cheese grater. Then I form them into used push up deodorant sticks or used glue sticks. It's not nearly as messy and they're great for travel.

There's soap under the foil? I thought that was a handle and I just threw the stick out when it got down that far.
