Flash From the Past

Scent is unique...just nothing else like it.
It creates a decent lather. On a par with C&E products. My experience with Tabac is limited but I'd say the Tabac creates a somewhat fluffier lather. Indeed it is not a soap for beginners; it requires an experienced hand to whip up a nice set of suds. But then, so do a lot of other soaps (MWF is one that readily comes to mind)
 
I do recall a cologne and an aftershave named Aramis, but it really seems as though it was a very long time ago (less than 20 years isn't a long time).
 
I've used this before. Still widely available and usually comes in a box with two pucks about the size of a VDH puck. Not the slickest soap but does work OK and if you fancy something a bit different. The Aramis range of edt / aftershave / shower gel etc is also widely available here.

Shave soap has not been available in the US for quite some time (although other items from Aramis are easily available). For $14 (2 pucks which last a long time) it is a great product.
