First time with the Fatboy

So, I had a little extra time this morning (OK, I didn't, but I wanted an excuse to take longer to shave) and decided to finally try out my newly cleaned, polished and sterilized Fatboy that I had gotten last Friday. All I can say is, I can see where the love comes from. After deciding to set it at 5, for a slightly more aggressive shave than my EJ DE89, I got the smoothest first pass in my short DE shaving life. After two passes and some touch up, I have a DFS bordering on BBS.

Coupled with my new sample of TOBS grapefruit and a little veg, I was in shave heaven. Luckily, my work hours are flexible so getting in a 7 as opposed to 6:30 is no big deal .

Remember, always open the silo doors before turning the adjustment knot and you'll have years of shaving fun.

P.S. You've got a great attitude about making time for wet shaving. Unless the house is on fire or someone is seriously injured or ill (I mean that death is imminent), there's an understanding that shaving time is redrako time.

I know what you mean. I have all the love for my FatBoy. I use a 3 setting and get a super clean first pass. It is my favorite DE. I am going to try my Gillette Senator today for giggles.

You know, I wasn't sure about when to turn the adjustment knob. Glad you commented here so now I know! I never knew there was so much to learn about this hobby of ours.
