First time with the beast

Hi guys, finally tried my Muhle R41!

In all honesty its not as scary as people make out!

BBS on cheeks with a WTG XTG.

Neck got two passes WTG didn't wanna try any other way as of yet as my neck is quite sensitive

After the shave i felt great! For anyone wary, don't fear the beast.

Glad it worked out for you! A Red Tip SS is too aggressive for me, I'd probably have to be hospitalized after a run in with an R41.

I replaced my FaTip with the R41. Derby blade seems to work best for me out of the ones I've tried. I think it could be a daily shaver, but it is very aggressive. Ironically, I found the FaTip more difficult to shave with. The FaTip always caused the blade to ripple slightly down its length when tightened. Both my Muhle R89 and R41 load the blade literally perfectly when viewed from any angle.

I found the same thing, actually. Everyone talks about it being this terrible, blood-letting beast, but that definitely was not my experience. A few small nicks and weepers here and there when I was re-learning the right blade angle, but all-in-all a very comfortable shave. I'm glad you like it!

gonna step upto a slant first before progesssing to this one.

some actually say the R41 tames the feather blades. *Of course i'd be more cautious
Which blade did you use?

I've tried a Lab, astra SP, israeli red and a derby, no problems.

i got a muhle r41,60 days work, shave with time,no problem.shave with small time, problem, cut,bleeding,etc.... so each day asks for a diferent razor....today i'll test one fatip grande
