First Straight Razor

Hi all

Looking at getting a straight razor currently use a DE would like to try it out do you think this is a good starter razor

Technically, that is a shavette that uses 1/2 DE blade. They will introduce you to straight shaving, but I found them to be less forgiving than a true straight razor. However, they are cheap and easy to maintain.

The one you link to will get the job done, but the Parker SR1 gets better reviews.

I started on a shavette by Dovo. Still use it as my traveling straight. Mike is right, it is actually harder to learn. But that made my switch to a real straight (and my recent switch to a DE) that much easier.
