That's right, I've been shaving with a straight for about a month and a half. So after reading and reading this section, I decided to try on DE's.
And I have to say I'm glad I did it. Even thought my gear is as simple as it gets,
I bought a Souplex razor from ebay for 7 pounds, and since I couldn't get any better blades than a Wilkinson set on the high street ; I had to try with that.
I only shaved half my face with the razor (including mustache/chin and neck areas), to shave the other half with the straight.
So I'm just waiting for my girlfriend, so she can tell me which one she likes best
(kind of "the Pepsi Challenge"
).
I loved the way it shaved, and is so easy to handle, in contrast to my straight, specially in difficult areas.
All this has just sparked that "curiosity" that we all have, so I ordered a pack of derbys and personnas to try them, and see how it feels with better blades.
