I've been shaving for quite a while and previously have moved between a slim adjustable, futur, and a new open comb razor. I had pretty much settled on the futur, but had always wanted to try shaving with a fat boy.
So, I finally ended up getting one off of the bay. It's not perfect, the doors don't close right every time, but it works. Anyway, I decided to give it a try during my last shave. So, I popped in a personna blade (typically not a blade that I like, but I didn't want to wreck a blade if the razor wouldn't close) and started to use it.
The shave was really nice, but far less aggressive than my normal futur. I think I like the shave, but I'll have to try it again. I was surprised by how light it felt in my hand, but I guess compared to the futur most razors are light.
Anyway, I'm going to try it again tonight, but switch blades to something I normally use. Hopefully the next shave will be even better.
