First Complement

Feels great!

Walking through the isles of our local independent grocery store, one of the young woman checkers said "looking sharp!" :biggrin1:

They'll normally say "hello" but a nice smile and complement? Not normally.

My wife said the same thing when she finally focused on me this morning.

I'll be floating for another couple of hours.

"Look sharp, feel sharp, BE sharp"

Not just an advertising slogan, a way of life.

Congratulations!

I'm reminded of a quote - "The principal difference between men and women is that men are always disarmed by a compliment, while women rarely are." Or maybe it's "never." I certainly feel energized after a sincere compliment.

That is an apt quotation - by Oscar Wilde, according to http://quotationsbook.com/quote/7668 - which made me think of this:

Speaking of Henrik Ibsen, he used a straight. But perhaps not very often. I understand some of his shaving tackle can be seen in a museum in Oslo, Norway.
