First Attempt At A Rescale

Hello All,

I received this 13/16" Wade & Butcher a few days ago. The blade is in pretty good cond, but the scales were fairly worn-out, so I decided to rescale it. I am in the process of teaching myself how to do this, and this was actually my first attempt at a rescale. I acquired the scales from a vendor in Canada, and decided to do kind of a "modern-meets-vintage" thing. The pinning came out OK I think, but I can't tell if I like the scales on this blade. What do you think?

I am fan of more classical shapes but those are OK. They are a bit big for the blade.

I agree completely. They were the only spare scales I had, so I figured I'd just slap 'em on & see what happens. They look "just OK" IMO....

I have a set of Olive Wood scales on order, and I think those would be better on this blade. If/when I change it, I will be sure to post pics...
