So. I bought a SS Dovo Shavette about a month ago, but every time it came to shave I would look at it and then reach right for my Super Speed. I just couldnt work up the nerve to give it a try. Don't get me wrong, I would take it out & show it to anyone that would listen to my stories of shaving neurosis, always ending the conversation with, "I'll probably give it a try tomorrow." Well, tomorrow finally came yesterday. 
here was the set up;

I would describe the shave as rather clumsy & aproached with a degree of trepidation. One pass WTG and I would have to say that I was rather pleased with the result. I know my technique needs drastic improvement but I gave myself a rather serviceable shave with that one pass & only gave myself one tiny little nick on the chin. I grabbed the Super Speed for ATG to finish up. (not confident in my skill with the Shavette for ATG, yet.) I look forward to giving it another shot tomorrow. Very nice experience.
