Figured Maple/Figured Walnut Brush

Finally got around to making a quick brush in between other projects. Applied a few coats of danish oil then sanded to 12,000 grit for a nice satin luster. I really like the more natural look vs a CA finish but not sure how it will hold up with repeated use. I did seal the inside of the cup with CA though. 24mm Shave Revo finest badger, was supposed to be set at 50mm. I measured the knot after drilling a 17mm deep hole only to find it wad 70mm instead of the advertised 67mm, so loft is 53mm. At only 60mm I think the handle is a bit too small. Originally intended to have a bead at the bottom of the walnut, but walnut being what it is, a chip flew off so the lower bead was scrapped. I think it would've looked much nicer with it so I didn't glue the knot in & will try again. It's the last knot I have and I'm in a restraint so I won't glue it in until I have the handle I want.

Looks good, but if you only have one knot on hand you should be sure it's exactly what you had in mind.

The two tone works really well. I like it.
