Fedora

Good afternoon everyone! I am starting to get into hats and am looking for a good quality fedora that is inexpensive. I am looking for something with a fairly wide raw edge brim. Something like George Bailey wore in "It's A Wonderful Life". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Welcome to B&B. finding a hat especially a fedora is a great experience. I would first start by looking at The Fedora Lounge (google it). It is a website just like B&B and you can register online and ask specific questions about fedoras there as well as on here. Below is a link to hatters all over the U.S. that you can call and ask questions. I use American Hatters out of Maryland. Great people! Where are you located sir? Perhaps I can help narrow your search. Remember always buy a hat in a true head size like 7, 7 1/2 etc. not Small, Large, Extra Large. Also go to a local hatters and try on hats. Look at the width of the brim, height of the crown etc. if you need more help please let me know.

I'm not sure what your price range is, but google Akubra Bogart. They will last a lifetime, with proper care.

I love Goorin Brothers. They sell the classic styles as well as some of the modern looks. Prices are decent and they often have sales where you can pick up some quality stuff for cheap. Their stores are also very hip and cool...
