Feather Portable

I used the Feather portable for the first time today (with a Feather blade) and my face was very irritated. I have a progress that I get great shaves with, what am I doing wrong?

The Feather travel razor uses a different angle from the Progress so you may not be using and acute enough angle. Feather blades are great, but you can still get a harsh one from time to time. Try a different blade? That's two things off the top of my head...Hope that helps.

+1

Also there's a huge weight difference between the two which makes the no pressure thing easy to forget sometimes. Just because it's lighter, doesn't mean more pressure than normal is required. My Feather portable can need on more pass than my Progress due to the weight difference alone.

Feather Portable is a copy of a short handled Tech, but it's blade gap is larger. I don't use it with Feather blades, only milder blades like Red cardboard package Personnas. I think it is more aggressive than say Merkut HD.

Portable is a copy of this Tech head:

It is interesting how the Tech head developed. Mine is like this:

It centers the blade exposure by the blade ends flaps. And although it is a milder razor, I got yesterday one bump on my neck with a Feather blade.
